Founded 25 years ago, we are a heavy civil contractor that specializes in underground wet utilities related to water, sanitary sewer, storm drain and other heavy construction projects.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator / Project Manager to oversee and manage civil engineering projects from conception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and civil engineering, as well as expertise in project management techniques to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for civil engineering projects
Develop project budgets and schedules in collaboration with stakeholders
Lead and manage project teams throughout the project lifecycle
Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to inform project planning
Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with vendors and subcontractors
Analyze project risks and develop mitigation strategies
Review and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Utilize MS Project and AutoCAD for project planning and execution
Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field is a plus
Proven experience as a civil estimator and project manager
Strong knowledge of construction methods and project management principles
Proficiency in MS Project, AutoCAD, and other relevant software
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lead and motivate a project team
Experience in budgeting, scheduling, and contract negotiation
Knowledge of risk management practices
Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is a plus
