Superintendent - Heavy Civil

Position Overview
The Superintendentwill oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects within the heavy civil sector, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, including subcontractors, clients, and regulatory agencies, while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day operations of heavy civil construction projects
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project specifications are met
Oversee excavation, waste water management, and other heavy civil construction activities
Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment
Monitor project progress and prepare regular reports for management and stakeholders
Assist in budget management and resource allocation to optimize project efficiency
Conduct quality control inspections to ensure compliance with standards and regulations
Resolve any issues that may arise on-site in a timely manner

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Superintendent in heavy civil construction
Strong knowledge of excavation and waste water management processes
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in construction
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
